As an avid Instagrammer, a lot of jewelry brands pass by my eye. For sometime I had been seeing the absolutely incredible creations wrought by Wendy Yue, but only in virtual reality. Cue to me being  super excited when I passed by her booth at this year’s JA New York Show. It was time I got to play with all the jewelry in real life.

Michelle who was manning the booth, was both kind and gracious, she spent a lot of time with me, showing all of the unique designs. She explained the different characteristics and craftsmanship that goes into each one of a kind piece.

Wendy is a jewelry industry veteran having been in the industry for 20 years, before launching her eponymous line. I noticed a lot of animal motifs, and nature inspired themes in her jewelry. Wendy likes to evoke travel destinations in her jewelry, places she’s seen and been to, and that really comes through. The craftsmanship on her pieces is really a sight to behold.

Some of my favorite pieces were this full finger panther ring. I love the detailed expressive face, and the movement of the piece. I happen to be a sucker for all things panther, and this guy really caught my eye.

Another piece that knocked my socks off, was this necklace that featured Koi fish swimming in a sea of jewels. It is just a fantastical piece, that will bring a smile to whoever sees it.

I had to look at was this spectacular rubellite and diamond ring; talk about a conversation piece. I love nothing better than a big, bold, ring, especially since as the wearer I get to look down and enjoy it too.

Speaking of fun rings, I love this impish little monkey who swings from your fingers and enhances your whole hand.

If you have the opportunity to view Wendy Yue’s gorgeous creations, run, don’t walk. Tell me, which piece would you wear? Or would you wear all of them?
